Foxfield admits students with a wide range of special educational needs with the majority
experiencing severe learning difficulties. For some, their needs are profound and most have
multiple barriers to learning including physical difficulties, autism and behavioural difficulties.
Most students join the school at the beginning of their secondary education and continue to
beyond the statutory school leaving age, but they can enrol at any time from 11 to 19. Almost
