School Description by Ofsted

Information about this school
Harestock is larger than the average-sized primary school and numbers have increased since the previous inspection. It has both single-age and mixed-age classes.

There has been a restructuring of the leadership team since the last inspection and a number of changes in teaching staff.

The school serves a mobile community with a higher-than-average proportion of pupils entering and leaving the school at different times of the year and during their school life. The large majority of pupils are of White British heritage. There are few pupils who speak English as an additional language.

The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs who are supported through school action is above the national average. The proportion supported through school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is in line with the national average. The proportion of pupils supported through the pupil premium (additional funding for pupils eligible for free school meals, in the care of the local authority or with a parent in the armed services) is lower than the national average.

The school meets the government's current floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for pupils' attainment and progress.
