This is larger than the average-sized secondary school with a sixth form. Rickmansworth School converted to become an academy school on 1 April 2011. When the
predecessor school, of the same name, was last inspected it was judged to be good.

A small number of students attend off-site provision at West Hertfordshire College. The school meets the government's current floor standards, which are the minimum levels
expected for students' attainment and progress.
