The school complies with the Department for Education's guidance on what academies
Christian Malford Church of England Primary School became an academy on the 1
December 2013 and is part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust.
The school's leadership has been through a period of considerable change, with three
principals in quick succession and high turnover among other staff. The current principal, who was permanently appointed on 1 September 2015, is also the principal
of two other schools in the trust. The head of school was appointed in November 2014 and is deputy principal of the two other schools. The three schools work together by sharing financial expertise, having joint policies and undertaking joint training.
The academy is much smaller than most primary schools.
Pupils are taught in four mixed-age classes in the morning and three in the afternoon.
