Required from March 2019, Woolsery Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled class teacher to work in a job-share arrangement covering maternity leave.
The post is for Thursdays and Fridays, plus an element of PPA time, in a Year 4/Y5 class in this popular, inclusive village school.
You will work closely with the other postholder for this class to ensure excellent continuity of learning. You will show a high level of imagination in planning and delivering the schools innovative “WILD Curriculum” approach to curriculum design in order to meet the needs of all learners in the class. You will also be committed to the wider life of the school and, for example, will deliver an element of extra-curricular provision through a lunchtime or after school club. You will be fully committed to inclusive education, meeting the needs of a wide variety of learners.
We envisage this post being active until the end of the Summer Term when we expect the substantive postholder to return from maternity leave.
Woolsery Primary School is a very popular village school about 15 minutes from Bideford and 30 minutes from Bude. We serve the communities of Woolsery, Clovelly and Bucks and also attract many families from further afield. The school is committed to outdoor learning through its Forest School programme and has an innovative curriculum approach modelled around child-designed projects and Philosophy for Children (P4C). The school has just under 140 on roll in the main school, plus a thriving Pre-school on site.
