Do you have experience of working in an educational nursery?

Are you committed to ensuring children thrive and get the best start in life?

If so, Bushey St James Trust (BSJT) has a fantastic opportunity for 3 part-time Nursery Assistants to join our growing multi academy Trust.   The successful people will support the Nursery Manager with the development of our new ‘Little Gems Nursery’ which opened in September 2018.  The nursery is an exciting new initiative offering subsidised childcare to members of staff employed across BSJT.

The successful candidates will have a minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification and will be passionate about providing a high level of childcare for children aged 6 months - 3 years. You will be able to demonstrate a love of learning with children ensuring that their individual needs are met and be able to build positive working relationships with the nursery team, children and their parents/carers. As part of a team you will be involved with the continuing growth and development of the nursery under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.  Little Gems is located at Little Reddings Primary School which already has an established and well-led school nursery.

Little Gems Nursery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm weekdays during term-time and we are looking for 3 Nursery Assistants to cover these hours on a split basis.  Hours available are likely to be 8.00am to 1.30pm, 12.30pm to 6.00pm and either 8.00am to 10.00am or 4.00pm to 6.00pm all week.  There could be some flexibility with these hours for the right people and flexibility is also required to cover for additional hours in the event of staff absence.  The salary for the posts is APT&C points 17 – 20 + fringe (full-time salary range is £18,672p.a. to £19,819p.a. + £857p.a. paid pro-rata based on hours worked).  Actual salary point offered will depend on skills and experience.  There is an opportunity for progression to Second in Charge for a suitably qualified person.
