Kingston Maurward College is a specialist land-based provider, situated just outside the county town of Dorset, offering a range of post-16 provision from Entry Level to Degree. We were recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2017) and are financially robust with a strong development plan and ambitions for the future. We sit at the heart of Dorset’s rural community, and also host the Dorset Studio School for students aged 14-19, also graded ‘Good’ and oversubscribed, which enables genuine cross key stage learning and innovative development opportunities on the estate.
Due to the retirement of the current postholder, after several years of excellent service, we are looking for an outstanding individual to take us to the next level. The task is challenging, but we have a strong set of values and ambitions which will support you as you make a real change across the county and beyond its borders.
Experience of the land-based sector is helpful, but not a requirement - those from both General FE and the Schools sector who wish to apply and have the right attitude and skills are warmly encouraged to do so.
Hours: A minimum of 37 per week during Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet business needs and a willingness to work outside normal office hours are essential for this post.
